The Great Roath Bake Off returns on May 9th at St Andrews Church Hall on Wellfield Road for its fifth consecutive year. The event has grown with each year and this year promises to be the biggest yet sponsored by CPS Homes.

We were overwhelmed by the success of last years event which raised thousands of pounds for local charities. Our aim this year is to raise even more and still make it a great day out for everyone.

The emphasis is on cakes & bakes and bakers from all over the country descend on Roath to show of their cakes. Aside from the magnificent cakes on display there is entertainment put on throughout the day. Some of the best music acts in South Wales are expected to perform this year, including performances from Stephanie Webber who is currently appearing as a contestant on the BBC 1 talent show The Voice.

Also teen singing sensation Tom Auton who has just been awarded Open Mic UK Champion beating off competition from over 9000 entrants.
There will be special appearances from famous faces throughout the day too, we have some well known faces lined up to help judge plus to hand out awards.
The Bake Off has been a huge success in Roath for many reasons, not only does it raise money for local charities but it helps bring people to Roath which is great for the local economy. We estimate that 2000 people come through the doors throughout the day of the Bake Off.

It’s a great community event which all the local traders get behind and support. This year we are also doing special workshops and going into schools to encourage children to bake.
