‘Top Quality Table Tennis Facility Welcomes All Abilities with Sessions Aimed at Casual Players and Newcomers ’
Cardiff City Table Tennis Club is now open seven days a week for the city to come and try out a sport on the rise. As the only full-time table tennis centre in Wales, the club boasts seven world-class tables and a team of qualified coaches who have competed at the very highest levels of the game.
The club is not just for the experts though and you don’t have to be dead serious about your training if you want to get involved.
If you just fancy knocking a ball around then the club has casual ‘Pay as you Play’ slots open every weekday afternoon and most evenings. There’s no need to book ahead for these sessions and the club will supply you with bats and balls, so all you need to bring along is someone to play with.
If you’re a student or you’re over fifty then the club have got some great ways to get you meeting and playing against a range of people and abilities. Now you don’t even need to bully a friend into coming along with you; come along to one of our casual group sessions and you’ll soon find your opponent.
Casual group play just for the over 50s age group runs every Monday and Wednesday morning from 10-12. If you’ve never been to one of these highly sociable sessions before then you should certainly try it out, especially as new players can have their first three visits for free.
Located deep in the student heartland of Cathays, the club hopes that their new weekly ‘Student Night’ will soon be infiltrating the local nightlife scene. From 8:30-10:30 students are welcome to bring their own music to play on the club sound system and even their own beer to keep them hydrated. Throughout the Spring Term these students-only sessions are going to be available at only £1 for two hours of play.
You can view the full timetable and get more info about these sessions by visiting the club website at www.cardiffcitytabletennisclub.com.
