Tesco is looking to recruit great personalities, to fill at least 150 new roles at its Cardiff Customer Engagement Centre (CEC). This will see the CEC grow to 1100 colleagues, and take total Tesco employment in the area to around 2500 across its shops and offices.
Recruiters will be looking to match the friendliest, warmest new colleagues with roles in teams that engage directly with customers.
They will be encouraged to put themselves in their customers’ shoes, and go above and beyond to ensure customers feel happy with their experience.
A recent example was when a colleague arranged for Tesco to donate Christmas gifts for a family after they lost everything in a house fire; it was an emotional situation which was slightly eased by that small gesture.
As customers’ ways of shopping and communicating have changed over the years, so has Tesco’s way of engaging with them. The Social Media team is looking for digitally savvy recruits to respond quickly, and often creatively, to customers getting in touch via Facebook and Twitter. New colleagues interested in technology could be placed in the Tech Support team, helping customers with any questions about their new gadgets and gizmos from Tesco.
Jamie Hughes, Head of CSC Operations at Tesco said:
“No matter which part of Tesco you work in, giving customers great service is our number one priority. In our Cardiff Customer Engagement Centre we offer great jobs and great careers.
“If you can think like a Tesco customer and share our passion for great service, then we would love to hear from you.”
Applications close on 19th February 2016 and those interested in the new roles can apply via http://www.tesco-careers.com/JobDetails/101634.aspx
