As well as the stellar line up of international chefs, this year’s Abergavenny Food Festival will showcase an array of musical performers for not one, but two evenings of music, dancing and food on the 16 and 17 September.

The Food Festival parties are without doubt the hottest tickets in town. You can boogie the night away next to some of the UKs top chefs, eat mind blowing food to keep your energy levels high and watch a spectacular firework display…. all to the backdrop of the beautiful Abergavenny Castle.

This year, the Friday Street Food Supper Party and Cabaret will get the party started with folk, blues and Americana from five-piece banjo toting girl band, Dana Immanuel & the Stolen Band plus some good old fashioned jazz and swing from the beaches of Hawaii from Ish Kabibble.

Then, after a full day of food festival magic, the party will really come alive on Saturday night with the now famous Party at the Castle.

Little Rumba from the Welsh borders and band of buskers and Glastonbury regulars, CoCo & The Butterfields will warm up the crowd with a fun set of jazz and blues to folk, pop and rap, mixed with a hint of country rock.

Dubbed the ‘party-starting dynamo’, headliners RSVP Music will end the night with their infectious mix of classic Punjabi music combined with dance beats to make sure no music taste is left unturned.

And of course there will be food. Continuing the international flavour of this year’s festival, Indian street food, Dutch waffles, Welsh seafood, Italian favourites, burgers, falafels and patisserie treats can all be enjoyed with a choice of the best cocktails, cider and beer at the Blorenge Bar and Chase bar.

Abergavenny Castle Site Manager and Co-ordinator of Entertainment, Alison Parry said: “Abergavenny Food Festival is Wales’ most popular food festival and every year we aim to make it that bit more special. The line-up of musical entertainment really ties in with the international theme the festival is offering this year. It’s one not to be missed.”

Also entertaining food-loving visitors over the weekend will be The Bootleg Swing Band, Slippery Slope, The Café Sound of Andre Voiture Rouge, Abergavenny Sing with Us Choir and Mambo Jambo.

Tickets start from £10.00. For more information and to get your tickets, visit http://www.abergavennyfoodfestival.com/
