Barratt in South Wales is celebrating Armed Forces Day (Saturday June 25) with Forces Property Direct – by helping the region’s military personnel own the perfect new home.
Formed 15 years ago, Forces Property Direct is a free service designed to smooth the way for those working in the Army, RAF and Navy in securing somewhere to call their own. And now it has teamed up with the leading house builder to make the process easier than ever.
“We are proud to be working with Barratt South Wales, which has been supporting the free service we offer to the military over the past years,” said Steve Matthews from Forces Property Direct.
“Barratt’s team has been so supportive and really understands the difficulties faced today by service personnel looking to secure their own home. With the free ‘one stop shop’ Forces Property Direct offers, and the great homes Barratt provides, our servicemen and women have everything they need to secure their forever home.”
Richard Lawson, Barratt sales director, (pictured above) commented: “We are proud of the homes we offer here in South Wales – and we are equally as proud of our armed forces. So we are thrilled to team up with Forces Property Direct and offer military servicemen and women a special deal when they buy one of our homes here.
“The discount also applies to anyone set to retire from the forces this year – and they will remain eligible for up to 12 months from the date they retire.”
Eligible buyers will receive a £1,000 discount for every £25,000 or part thereof on the cost of the property up to a maximum cost of £350,000. For example, on a home costing £176,000, they would qualify for a reduction of £7,000.
“As a company, we are keen to help many people who serve in the Armed Forces move into a great new home in South Wales,” added Richard. “And working in partnership with Forces Property Direct is a big part of that commitment.”
