CHARISMATIC Irish chanteuse Camille O’Sullivan brings her unique brand of baroque pop to St David’s Hall on Thursday 23 March.
With a performance that promises to be mesmerising and hypnotic, Camille presents The Carny Dream from 8pm in the L3 Lounge.
The ‘Queen of the Edinburgh Festival’ (BBC) and original star of Olivier award-winning LaClique, Camille has established an enviable international reputation for her breathtaking interpretations of Brel, Bowie, Cave and Waits.
Not only has she stunned audiences across the globe at prestigious venues like the Royal Albert Hall and Sydney Opera House, Camille’s also stolen the shows on popular programmes like Later…with Jools Holland. Also, her tour-de-force performance in The Rape of Lucrece with the Royal Shakespeare Society recently landed her the coveted Herald Angel Award.
Dark, sexy and fierce, Camille draws the listener into the stories and characters of the songs, and transforms each piece into an intensely emotional and theatrical experience.
Camille is chameleon-like throughout concerts too pinballing from angry and harsh to playful or vulnerable – all in between sips of her favourite red wine.
