Stroke Association in Wales would like to thank the volunteers and fundraisers who took part in the charity run at Bute Park and joined in the fight to beat strokes.
Alan Drury, Regional Fundraiser Wales for the Stroke Association in Wales, said:
“We would like to thank the sea of purple fundraisers who took to Bute Park to complete a Resolution Run for the Stroke Association on Sunday 11 March.”
“Thanks to their efforts and the generosity of their family, friends and sponsors, we hope to have raised up to £10,000.”
“Every five minutes across the UK, someone’s life is turned upside down by stroke. By taking part in our Resolution Run, each runner has helped us continue to support stroke survivors and their families as they rebuild their lives. We’re extremely grateful to the 200 and more runners who took part – it was a fantastic turn out and a great day for everyone involved.”
“So well done if you were one of our brilliant runners or volunteers, and you can help us further by sending in your sponsorship money as soon as possible to help us get on with helping people realise there is life after stroke.”
Stroke Association is the UK’s leading stroke charity that delivers services across the UK and campaigns for better stroke care. They also invest in research and aim to reach out to as many stroke survivors as possible.
