SPRING BLOOMS IN TEDDY BEAR NURSERY AT UHW

25/03/2019

Children from Teddy Bear Nursery at the University Hospital of Wales have been busy making flowers to welcome in spring, supporting Cardiff & Vale Health Charity’s RHS Cardiff Blossoming Beds competition entry.

The children made beautiful coloured flowers from paper and glue, inspired the Health Charity’s RHS Cardiff Blossoming Beds title “We grow better tomorrows when we plant good seeds today” which is a mini snapshot of the six acre Ein Berllan – Our Orchard site at University Hospital Llandough.

Simone Joslyn, Head of Health Charity and Arts for Cardiff and Vale University Health Board said: “We invited the nursery to get involved because it’s lovely for the children to be part of our RHS Cardiff Blossoming Beds competition helping them develop their expressive art and design skills through making flowers.

“Teddy Bear Nurseries helps to grow and develop our children, with kindness and care.  Working together with the nursery staff and children we can encourage them to engage with nature, helping us to promote a resilient Wales for the Wellbeing for Future Generations Act.”
