Elm Grove Country House
It’s been a busy winter for Jane & Alan Rees-Baynes, the owners of Elm Grove Country House in St Florence. This family run business is based just 3 miles from Tenby and a short drive from some of Pembrokeshire’s best loved sights and attraction. Winters mean refurbishment and redecoration and this year was no exception, with work completed on 6 different en-suites and a full refurbishment on the grand ground floor bedroom – including polished original wooden floors, antique pieces and sumptuous soft furnishings.
Elm Grove has been in the Rees family for over 60 years, with Jane being the 3rd generation to take the helm, along with her husband Alan (who trained as a professional artist and has a studio onsite). Jane does all the cooking in the same kitchen as her mother and grandmother did before her, using locally sourced ingredients where ever possible, including some from their own vegetable garden.
As well as offering B&B with there is also the exclusive use option where you can take over the whole house and just have guests staying that you have invited. Jane says “ this option is very popular for families wanting to celebrate special milestones and for group holidays (walkers, painters, astronomers, yoga retreats). This year is the first time we are combining our exclusive use package with the option of small, celebrant led weddings. For those wanting an exclusive, intimate and affordable wedding with just their nearest and dearest around them – this addition is an exciting new option.”
