There’ll be no beating around the bush when it comes to getting top gardening tips from BBC guru Terry Walton during an event at Llangoed Hall next month.
The radio star and author will be the special guest at a ‘Ladies Luncheon’ hosted by the hotel on Wednesday, 26th June from 12.30pm.
During the event, ladies can enjoy a delicious two-course lunch prepared by talented head chef Nick Brodie to include plaice, Cornish new potatoes, asparagus and broad beans followed by a sumptuous dessert, accompanied by tea and coffee for just £35.
Terry has gardened on the same allotment since he was four years old; being able to focus on it fully following his retirement, where he was discovered by Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine Show team, giving updates live from his hillside plot every fortnight.
He is also on the Jamie & Louise show on BBC Wales Radio once a month in studio, BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester once a month live from the allotment and makes appearances on Channel 4 Super Scrimpers to give his gardening tips.
Sergio Martinez, general manager of Llangoed Hall Hotel, said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Terry to the hotel for this special event. He is a wealth of knowledge on all things gardening, so it is sure to be both informative and enlightening.
“Needless to say, the ladies will pick up some incredibly useful tips while also enjoying a treat for the taste buds with our stunning two-course lunch prepared by Nick.”
