Captain Tom Moore and Michael Ball are head to head with Canadian artist The Weeknd in the UK Official Chart Singles this week, hoping to scoop the top spot in time for Captain Tom’s 100th birthday next week, and continue to raise money for the NHS Charities Together fund. The single, Rogers & Hammerstein’s iconic anthem ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, is currently at the top of the Singles Chart, but the public will have to keep downloading this week in order to keep Captain Tom on track for his first ever No.1, and first No.1 single for a centenarian in history! Captain Tom has already surpassed the £500,000 target for his ‘Walk for the NHS’ appeal, which has now raised over £28 million for NHS Charities Together. 100% of Captain Tom, Michael Ball and Decca Records’ proceeds from the single will be donated to Captain Tom Moore’s 100th Birthday Walk in aid of NHS Charities Together which supports the incredible NHS staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients.
