Ballet Folclorico de le Universidad de Guadalajara

25/06/2015

ST DAVID’S HALL will be transformed into Mexico on Wednesday 8 July as the Ballet Folclórico de la Universidad de Guadalajara visits the UK for the first time in 20 years.

It’s also a time for celebration too as it’s the Year of Mexico, and the group specifically asked if they could come to the Welsh capital!

Plus, it’s a great value night out too with a special Buy One, Get One Free offer* on all seats!

The Ballet Folclórico De la Universidad de Guadalajara formed in 1960 when Emilio Pulido, Meliton Salas and Daniel Gonzalez Romero created a dancing group the university’s School of Visual Arts.

Since then they have developed a truly impressive live reputation with 24 singers and 30 dancers now sharing the stage accompanied by musicians playing regional ancient instruments. Expect violins, fiddle, mandolins, trumpets, saxophones and even drums of mud and snails!

With their vibrant rhythms, colourful costumes and syncopated foot stamping, the Ballet Folclórico De la Universidad de Guadalajara will now captivate a Cardiff crowd. Their beautiful dances transcend language and race, whilst demonstrating Mexico’s richly diverse culture and heritage.

Sample a taste of the Mexican lifestyle at St David’s Hall!

The Buy One Get One Free offer applies to ALL tickets and concessions, but excludes the Family Ticket.
