A nurse at Wales’ largest Emergency Unit is the first nurse in Wales to receive Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) accreditation from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM). On Saturday 3 August, bodybuilder and ex-marine Max Glover took on the ultimate fundraising challenge by walking a marathon whilst towing a car. Max attached himself to the 1.7 tonne BMW 525d with a harness and walked the 26.2 miles within 24 hours, raising over £1,400 for Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity. A lawyer gave it some stick when he took part in an internationally recognised charity ice hockey tournament and helped raise over £100,000 for good causes. Coming to Wales for the first time Jane Austen’s Persuasion adapted by Barbara Landis and presented by Chamber Opera Tours, treated Cardiff to an excellent performance of the classic novel.
