A Cardiff school’s playground has been transformed thanks to a grant from Tesco’s Bags of Help initiative. Coryton Primary School received £4,000 from the supermarket’s flagship community grant scheme – which is funded by sales of carrier bags. The money has been used to install a shelter in the playground which protects children from the elements during their playtimes. A South Wales charity which offers care and support to children with cancer has benefitted from a donation from a local housebuilder. Kids Cancer Charity, which is based in Swansea and has a fundraising office in Cardiff, received a cheque of £550 from Bellway Wales, which is building new homes at St Lythans Park, in Culverhouse Cross.
