Patients with low vision are benefitting from an initiative developed by Visualise Training and Consultancy and funded by Thomas Pocklington Trust. Seeing Beyond the Eyes has released its impact report which highlights a huge increase in the number of optical professionals who will now refer patients with low vision to vital support services – up from only 9% to an impressive 96%. Housebuilder Bellway is working alongside Welsh homeless charity Llamau to give young people an exclusive glimpse into the construction industry. The group from Llamau – which aims to get vulnerable young people into work – visited the housebuilder’s Manor Chase development off Gloucester Road in Tutshill. People being supported by the charity were given a tour of the development by Bellway staff, who also gave them an insight into the types of jobs that the construction industry has to offer….
