Photograph from RepairCafe Wales on Facebook A shell of what you were before. The spark you once had has gone. I flick your switch, I push your button, but you refuse to turn back on! I stare at you from across the room. I fold my arms and squeeze tight. My source of entertainment has gone. No pictures. No music. No light. Two days have felt like an eternity. I read books but it isn’t the same. It is grim…
Colin Jackson CBE has opened the newly refurbished showroom for Cardiff-based Heath Windows, which includes an expanded display of premium composite doors. When he was politely asked if he could open the event, Colin was only too…

Christmas spirit was well and truly in the air: mulled wine was on offer at the bar, dazzling Christmas lights were displayed all outside the street of the venue and the musicians even donned Santa hats as they enthusiastically delivered All…
Currently showing until the 1st December at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff is the stage production of Saturday Night Fever. If you can recall, (those old enough to remember) that this film ‘only’ became a massive hit once the music was in the charts at the time, so it makes sense that Bill Kenwright’s production of Saturday Night Fever is all about the music, dancing, and with enough dialogue from the film to give the audience an idea of…
Sexual Exploitation Panel Discussion What do you feel when you read that headline? When you read the words ‘sexual exploitation’? I read the words on the WOW programme and straight away I know it’s a serious topic. I figure it will be heavy and interesting, and I also think it will be separate from me, my life, and my experiences. I am in a state of naivety about this talk, not knowing it will be one of…

Yesterday evening, I had the pleasure of seeing Björn Again at St David’s Hall, for their first show of their 30th Anniversary Tour. As I entered St David’s Hall, for the first time, I was surrounded by a demographic slightly older than myself, with above 40 being the norm. Many came dressed in ABBA-like…
