Twelve women have been selected for Wales Senior Women’s first international fixture of the season, the notoriously technical and fast-paced EuroHockey Indoor Championships Division II. 18th January 2016: The creation of the UK’s first proton beam therapy cancer treatment centre took a significant step forward today as work officially began on the site. Edwina Hart, the Minister for Economy, Science and Transport for the Welsh Government, visited the site to mark the beginning of the construction of the centre which is expected to be operational by 2017. Wales held off the challenge of Scotland and Ireland to take the honours in the 2015 Home Nations Tennis Championship in Glasgow. The competition, played across 18U, 14U, and 12U age groups, between Scotland, Ireland and Wales, went to the final round of matches to determine the winner. The campaign has been established by a cross party group including individuals from the business world with the aim of collecting enough signatures from the Cardiff electorate to trigger a referendum.
