Swansea-based charity Street Football Wales has received a £1,000 donation thanks to Tesco’s Bags of Help Scheme. The grant to the charity, which holds football matches across Wales for the socially excluded, has gone towards providing breakfasts for the players to make sure they’re on top form for matches. A keen advocate for people with dementia, on Sunday 29 April the Secretary of State for Wales joined ran the 2019 Virgin Money London Marathon for its Charity of the Year, Dementia Revolution. This year-long campaign brings together Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK to power groundbreaking dementia research and lead the charge towards a cure.
