In 2018 Rhiwbina RFC and Cancer Research Wales undertook a joint annual raffle, which was drawn at Rhiwbina Recreation Club just before Christmas. The Barry Hospital will soon be celebrating its 25th Anniversary. The hospital was opened in 1995 as a ‘community hospital’ with a range of facilities for staff, visitors, third sector and community groups to use. Libraries across South Wales are working with the charity Goldies Cymru to brighten the lives of older people through regular daytime boisterous FUN singalong sessions.
