Young people from across Cardiff were given a flavour of various career opportunities at Wales’ largest careers, jobs, skills and apprenticeship event, SkillsCymru. Over the weekend, 40 Computer Science undergraduate students from all years at Cardiff University got their teeth stuck into a real-life brief set by Cardiff technology group Inspiretec. NOVEMBER 2017: The hunt is on for Cardiff’s next, young literary superstar with the launch of a competition by children’s footwear retailer, Chipmunks and Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. Cardiff Deaf Centre have scooped £9,750 funding from the M&S Energy Community Energy Fund, beating six projects in the region to win the top prize. Cardiff Deaf Centre won the funding with 2591 public votes.
