Fashion retailer, Primark, leaped to the support of children’s charity, Noah’s Ark, after being inspired by the plight of a three-year-old girl called Eden.  As a result, the charity is now able to provide essentials packs for children who, like little Eden, are admitted to hospital in an emergency during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Lakeside Wing, based on the grounds of the University Hospital of Wales (UHW) site, accepted its first patient at the end of December 2020. The patient was transferred across from the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board’s main Hospital site to the Lakeside Wing to start their rehabilitation as they enter the recovery stage of their treatment.
