Edwards Coaches has taken its relationship with one of the biggest names in transport up a gear after joining forces with the UK’s largest coach operator to sell its package holidays.
In a major coup for Pontypridd-based Edwards, its package holidays both home and abroad will now be accessible via National Express’ website – opening up a major new market for the family-run coach company.
The move means Edwards’ breaks will now be readily accessible to the millions of people who log on to nationalexpress.com every year and, in a boon for National Express customers, that they will now be able to access package holidays across Europe and the UK at the click of a mouse.
The move opens up a multitude of options for National Express customers ranging from all-inclusive two week trips to mainland Europe including Italy, Spain and Switzerland, to theatre breaks and major events, with pick-up points across Wales and South England.
The venture marks the latest milestone in a long and successful journey between the two coach companies which have worked together for the past 10 years, with Edwards running hundreds of thousands of passenger journeys on behalf of National Express every year.
Jason Edwards FCILT Commercial Director said: ‘We are really pleased that National Express, with whom we’ve worked for many years, has chosen our company to offer their loyal passengers the chance to take advantage of package holidays for with us. With over sixty European destination to choose from, ranging from four to 14 days holidays, we’re sure there is something for everyone’.
Edwards Coaches based in South Wales was established in 1925 and carries over 80,000 passengers a year on its holiday programme across the UK and Europe.
