Everyman 19: The award-winning Cardiff Open Air Theatre Festival returns to Sophia Gardens, this summer, with six weeks of theatre for the whole family from the 27th June – 3rd August.
The festival kicks off this year with the classic sitcom ‘Hi-De-Hi’, followed by the Shakespearean favourite, Much Ado About Nothing. As we head into the Summer holidays, the whole family can enjoy ‘The Little Mermaid Jr.’, brought to you by Go Productions, with the festival brought to a close with the rock opera ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’.
Alongside the main festival productions are the one-off nights, which include ‘Hello Cabaret’, a night of musical theatre under the stars and Cinema in the Park, with Singalong showings of ‘Grease’ and ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’. ‘Stand Up in the Park’ returns on the 7th July with the fantastic talents of Clint Edwards, Robin Morgan, Dane Baptiste and Angela Barnes bringing all the laughs in aid of Amnesty International, Cardiff’s Everyman Youth Theatre are also presenting: ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ on the 28th July.
