Budding legal eagles have a chance to get their foot in the door as city centre law firm Slater and Gordon launch an exciting new apprenticeship programme.
Having teamed up with well-known learning providers including Cilex Law School, they’re on the look-out for ambitious individuals who want to kick-start a career in the legal industry.
And the opportunity is open to Cardiff people of any age.
Head of General Law at the firm, Siri Siriwardene said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is seriously considering a legal career and would like the opportunity to work alongside experienced legal colleagues and leaders in their field to gain job specific skills, as well as having time to study.”
On completion of the apprenticeship programme, participants will achieve the Intermediate Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship or the Level 2 Business/ Legal Administration Apprenticeship.
Siri added: “We are looking for people who are highly motivated to learn and have a positive can-do approach who wish to train to become Paralegals or perform Legal Administration roles. Those who are successful will have plenty of support throughout their apprenticeship and will get to work on cases alongside a mentor and supervisor.
“This could simply be the start of your legal career as well as we are fully committed to working closely with all successful candidates to ensure that they not only achieve their intended apprentice qualification but also seek career progression within the business.
There are four positions available and candidates will need to have five GCSEs grade C or above and three A-levels grade C or above which can be predicted at application time.
