A new sports radio show launched on Radio Cardiff on Saturday 23rd July, broadcast live from 2pm to 3pm.
The programme – O’B Saturday Sport Show – covers sports news, views and gossip from across the capital city and beyond, every Saturday, as well as a mix of music.
Radio Cardiff can be found on 98.7FM, and can also be streamed live via the TuneIn radio app.
Hosted by Chris O’Brien, the debut show will feature an interview with Cardiff Metropolitan FC Director of Football, Dr Christian Edwards, following the club’s recent promotion to the Welsh Premier League.
Cardiff Met FC was showcased as the show’s first ‘Club of the Week’.
There was also a feature on the upcoming Cardiff 10k run, with Danielle Angell Jones, Head of Fundraising and Events for the Kidney Wales Foundation, appearing live on the show to discuss the showpiece event.
Ahead of the first show, host Chris O’Brien said:
“It’s so exciting to have the opportunity to host a new sports show on Radio Cardiff, at what is a great time for sport in our capital city.
“The show will aim to balance a focus on grassroots, community and elite sports; and we’re eager to hear from anyone keen to discuss and promote their club or sport to the people of Cardiff.
“Across the city, we’ve so much to discuss, debate and celebrate in sporting terms, and this new show will do just that each and every Saturday, between 2pm and 3pm.”
