Novotel London Paddington, a review by Nathan Wyburn and Wayne Courtney

05/02/2016

On Saturday January 16th 2016, myself (Nathan Wyburn) and fellow Cardiff Times Columnist Wayne Courtney had the pleasure of a nights stay at the Novotel, London Paddington. Having been described as ‘a contemporary hotel and perfect base for exploring the capital’ we arrived with high expectations. High expectations that I am happy to say, were surpassed.

The hotel could not be more perfectly situated, placed just a minute’s walk away from Paddington station which offers four tube lines that will connect you with the rest of London. If exploring London isn’t your idea of fun, the hotel boasts its own pool and sauna, the perfect getaway after a long day. With local amenities such as a Sainsburys local, there really is everything you could possibly wish for to make your stay comfortable.

Upon entering the hotel and being greeted by helpful and polite reception staff, we knew we were entering an especially luxurious establishment.

The room itself was extremely spacious and well-lit with a whole window wall. The expected standard facilities were there, but to an extremely high quality. With both a shower and bath, everyone’s needs were met after a long day of seeing the sites. As if it could not get any better, there was the wonderful surprise of welcome macaroons from the hotel manager, alongside a personal message wishing us a pleasant stay, a lovely touch!

Upon getting ready for our evening out in London, the staff went above and beyond to give us advice on anything that we needed, from transport to the best nightlife scenes.

We both agreed wholeheartedly that the beds were up with the comfiest we had ever stayed in, and that the breakfast service was impeccable. We would definitely recommend this to anyone staying in London!

Thank you Novotel Paddington,

‘Wyburn & Wayne’ at Cardiff Times.
