Cathays Compass is a cohort of people who live and work in Cathays. The group has been established to help support the thousands of residents in Cathays, as well as encourage stronger outreach between local businesses, faith groups, voluntary sector, schools, libraries and charities.
Cathays Compass is built on the premise that cherishing and recognising commercial, ethnic and cultural diversity strengthens “By bring the community together in harmony we accept diversity, acknowledge the contribution of, and recognise that we all may be useful to others”
It is my privilege as Chairperson to highlight the contribution of others, because it is important that we make it a matter of record that each person involved is highly valued and recognised. The activities of the Compass has successfully seen people from different races, nationalities, religions and across economic backgrounds coming together to increase understanding and friendship between the multi-faceted community of Cathays.
The main aim of Cathays Compass is to get everyone talking, collaborating and engaging with each other, which is why I am delighted to announce that the compass has collaborated with the Cathays Library to organise a photographic completion.
