Poundstretcher donate Welsh “plastic bag” money to
Blood Bikes Wales for the 3rd year running.
For the 3rd year running, money taken at the 36 Welsh Poundstretcher Stores for the sale of plastic bags has been donated to Blood Bikes Wales. At a photo shoot last Friday at the Barry Store, Poundstretcher Area Manager Paul Hartley and Sales Manager Kieran Headon, presented a cheque for £33,072.17 to Howard Easton representing Blood Bikes Wales.
BBW PR Officer, Dave Payne, says “The money has been used to purchase two new motorcycles and the remainder “ring fenced for operating costs” to ensure we are able to continue our services to Welsh NHS Trusts and the general public. We have attached transfers showing the Poundstretcher logo to both bikes with text to explain how they were purchased”.
Area Manager, Paul, explained that he believes “his daughter benefited by being a patient at the end of a Blood Bikes delivery when she was in hospital”. We are pleased to say that she made a full recovery and that we were able to provide the service to help her recover.
Also in the picture from left to right are customers Pauline Lingham, Vicky Holiday and Jeffrey Larson who all agreed that the money was going to a brilliant charity.
