FOLLOWING the smash-hit success of his live DVD recording last year, Richard Herring is returning to St David’s Hall on Sunday 2 April at 8pm.
And this time, he’ll be cramming his favourite routines from his 12 solo shows over the last 20-odd years into a 90 minutes ‘greatest hits’ set called The Best.
The King of Edinburgh Fringe, Metro columnist and the UK’s ‘Podfather’ has become renowned for his observational wit and deadpan delivery about the mundanities, nuances and eccentricities of modern life.
Richard first sprang to fame in the 1990s as one half of a double act with fellow comedian Stewart Lee on BBC2’s Fist of Fun and This Morning with Richard, Not Judy. He also wrote Sky TV’s sitcom Time Gentleman Please starring Al Murray, and has performed in nearly 40 self-written shows at the Edinburgh Festival over the last 30 years.
The Best is the ideal introduction to this influential cult comedian for the newcomer, and a welcome greatest hits for long term fans. Will your favourite routine make the cut?
