Another Strictly show at St Davids Hall – I couldn’t wait to see what this show would have to offer?
Well, let me share with you my thoughts:
Strictly stars Aljaz Skorjanec, Giovanni Pernice and Gorka Marguez delivered a wonderful show that invited the whole audience to become involved in their world of dance. As Giovanni said at the beginning of the show ‘ The more you give it to us, the more we give it to you and I was thrilled to report this was delivered. The dancing and supporting cast gave fantastic performances.
To see the three strictly stars on stage dancing in competition with one another was thrilling but I was also impressed to witness the affection and connection between them. We were treated to many styles of dance, of course featuring ballroom and Latin dancing, and we can’t mention ballroom dancing without mentioning Aljaz Skorjanec, who was mesmerizing and left me spellbound. (must stop day-dreaming, and get back to the review.)
They went up against each other in 3 styles of Dance and at the end of each round we were asked to judge by applauding our favourite and the dancer with the loudest applause was the round winner – and we of course obliged, overall it would be fair to say they each won a round. I have never experienced audience participation like it – we raised the roof, and it was a night filled with the joy of Dance.
Thank you ‘Boys’ I hope it is not too long before you return to St Davids Hall. Maybe you could invite some of the Strictly girls to join you next time, or am I being greedy?
Until then I’ll await the return of Strictly Come Dancing with great anticipation.
