Public Health Wales and our partners are investigating one further case of Hepatitis A linked with the current outbreak.  The total number of confirmed cases is 13, with 10 having an association with pupils in Glyn Gaer school, two being in the Caerphilly community and a further case associated with Ysgol Rhydywaun. Women in Wales will benefit from a new cervical screening test that reduces the need for repeat smears. From May 31, women found to have very low level cell changes during their screening (smear test) will only be referred to colposcopy clinics if their test shows that they have the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) virus. A high-tech mission to uncover the secrets of our seas has revealed a ‘hotspot’ for marine wildlife off the southern coast of Wales. The mission saw an unmanned underwater ‘glider’ travel to an area around 50 miles to the south west of Wales called the Celtic Deep, which is a haven for wildlife but also an extremely busy shipping route and fishing ground.
