A new series of fun, informal tennis sessions at local parks and clubs across Wales has got under way to inspire more women to play tennis more often.
Tennis Tuesdays was launched last year and is back for 2016, organised by Tennis Wales and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) with Nike.
This year, Tennis Tuesdays are available at venues around Wales, including Cardiff, Wrexham, Newport, Usk, Penarth, Dinas Powys, Llantrisant, and Barry.
The weekly sessions are organised by local tennis coaches and will take place every Tuesday for those who want to play more and develop their tennis skills further while having fun and meeting new people.
Peter Drew, chief executive of Tennis Wales, said: “The Tennis Tuesdays programme proved very popular last year, and more venues have been added for 2016.
“It offers women the chance to play with like-minded people and fits easily into busy lifestyles. It’s a fun way to get some exercise, meet people, and relieve the stresses of the day.”
Each weekly session focuses on one of six themes and include fun match play. Rackets and balls are provided, so you can simply turn up in your sports kit and get on court.
