Join national charity Together for Short Lives and children’s palliative care services across the country for this year’s Children’s Hospice Week (23-29 May).
It’s the UK’s only awareness and fundraising week for children with life-shortening conditions and their families, and the palliative care services that support them.
This year Children’s Hospice Week will be saying it’s ‘time to put families first’: focusing on what life is like for families caring for children with life-shortening conditions. It’s also a call for support: these families don’t have time to wait to get the care and support they desperately need.
Whether at work, school or with friends you can help put families first by fundraising during Children’s Hospice Week:
- It’s time to… bake, play, care
– Bake: Hold a Butterfly Tea Party at work or school and raise much needed funds to support seriously ill children www.togetherforshortlives.org.uk/get_involved/individual_fundraising/hold_a_butterfly_tea_party
– Play: Take part in the Children’s Hospice Week family inspired quiz http://www.togetherforshortlives.org.uk/childrenshospiceweek/raise_money
– Care: Show your support by making a donation for Children’s Hospice Week www.togetherforshortlives.org.uk/get_involved/make_a_donation
And keep an eye out for our Purple Rolls-Royce throughout the week as it makes its way from Scotland down to southern England, stopping off at children’s palliative care services and Rolls-Royce dealerships before reaching the finish line at Goodwood (home of Rolls-Royce). www.togetherforshortlives.org.uk/childrenshospiceweek/events/9227_the_purple_rolls_homecoming_rally

Children with a life-shortening limiting condition need round the clock care – 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Children’s palliative care charities offer a lifeline for families and rely on public support to continue to provide their vital services.
