TRAINING COMPANY AJUDA OFFERS ESSENTIAL TRAINING FOR TOMORROW’S ENGINEERS.

05/02/2016

The team at Cardiff’s leading training provider Ajuda have become accredited to offer essential training for the prestigious Engineering Construction Industry Training Board or ECITB.

Ajuda, led by founder and managing director Dawn Evans, has become one of only a handful of accredited companies across Wales and the South West to offer the training.

The ECITB provides professional advice, information, skills development and qualifications to help individuals within engineering construction. Their training programmes guarantee competence in practical craft and technician occupations as well as the technical, management supervisory, design and project management skills.

Dawn Evans said: “I’ve seen the necessity for safer practices on engineering projects for some time and it was a natural progression for us to add this to our service portfolio. Our ECITB programmes will be launched in March and I’m pleased to say we’ve already had bookings.”

The team at Ajuda, which has its head office in Cardiff Bay, had to undergo a rigorous training and inspection procedure to secure accreditation. Now they can offer the highest quality training to the engineers of today and tomorrow.

Gaynor Williams will be Ajuda’s lead trainer for the ECITB courses.

She said: “This training is very much needed, there are existing projects where engineers need to upskill or refresh their training with more projects coming on stream in the near future.”

Over the coming years there are a number of major infrastructure projects planned for construction in Wales and the South West including:

•   Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station

•   Wylfa Newydd Nuclear Power Station

•   Swansea Tidal Lagoon
