TSB IN CARDIFF FUNDRAISES FOR LOCAL CHARITY BOBATH ON VALENTINE’S DAY
Yesterday, TSB’s Partners and customers in Working Street, Cardiff, raised over £130 for their Local Charity Partner, Bobath, by holding a Valentine’s themed event.
Like TSB, Bobath is passionate about helping the local community in Cardiff to thrive. Bobath Children’s Therapy Centre Wales provides physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech, and language therapy to children all over Wales who have cerebral palsy. The funds raised will go towards improving its service in the local community.
In the branch, fundraising took the shape of a raffle prize draw and selling homemade cakes to customers and the general public, while listening live to local Soprano, Cheryl Roberts, singing love songs in Welsh and English.
Adam Farley, Branch Manager at TSB in Cardiff, said: “Bobath is a vital part of our local community and we’re really proud to have them as our Local Charity Partner.
“Our team in Cardiff has worked hard putting in a lot of time and dedication by to make this Valentine’s event a success. We have really enjoyed fundraising today and it is fantastic to know the difference that our efforts will make.”
Claire Walker, Corporate Relationship and Fundraising Manager at Bobath, said: ““It was delightful to be part of the fundraising morning, enjoying the baked goods, the wonderful entertainment and chatting to the customers who were so generous.
“We really are grateful for the support given by the staff at TSB who are helping to raise awareness, as well as much need funds for Bobath Wales for the children with cerebral palsy that need us. This year we need to raise £1.5m to keep our Centre running of which 76% is raised through fundraising activities. We cannot thank the team enough for their kindness.”
TSB’s sole focus is to serve local people and businesses which, in turn, helps fuel local economies across Britain. Instead of having a centrally chosen Charity of the Year, Partners working at TSB are empowered to support a local cause that shares the Bank’s passion for helping local communities thrive.
