Wet and windswept families in Cardiff have a toasty surprise

05/04/2016

Brace’s Bakery has been busy surprising parents who brave the Welsh weather every weekend to cheer on their children from the side-lines, with a hot cuppa and a slice of toast.

In January, Brace’s Bakery launched their Toast on the Touchline campaign encouraging wet and windswept parents to post on social where and when they want to be surprised using the hashtag #MakeMeToasty.

Parents from Rumney RFC, Llandaff North and Old Illtydians RFC nominated themselves on social media for a surprise supply of tea and toast on the touchline. Kerry Thomason, a parent from Old Illtydians RFC, said: “We love watching our kids play but we always get chilly on the side-lines! We saw the Brace’s Bakery campaign online and applied; we were so excited when they showed up with hot tea and toast for us. We wish they could come back next week! ”

Brace’s Bakery will be surprising more lucky teams across South Wales over the next month.  To apply for Brace’s Bakery to make you toasty on the touchline, tweet @BracesBakery with the time, date and match venue or share on facebook.com/BracesBakery using the hashtag #MakeMeToasty.
