I’m not a skier myself; I have always wanted to try it but never had the opportunity – or the guts for that matter. However last Monday I went to wine tasting for Morgan Jupe Luxury Catered Ski Chalets and I feel like it was fate… I am going to go skiing. In fact I sat there during the wine tasting planning who I can invite to make up the numbers to hire a chalet.
So on Monday night I went along to Bully’s Restaurant in Pontcanna, which is a fantastic little French restaurant with a quirky decor giving a personal, unique atmosphere – the food was also delicious, I definitely recommend it. At Bully’s I tried and tested the wine which will be served in the luxury catered ski chalets. For the winter season 2013-14 they have decided to take a new approach to their wine list and source each wine directly from the producer. Jess and Josh travelled Burgundy, the Rhône valley and Languedoc this summer to carefully select the perfect wine list. So we went along to give our opinions – one word for the wine… De-lic-ious! I tried 9 different wines, and I am not normally a red wine drinker but it went… it all went! Along with the perfect wine, the food served in the chalets are hearty home cooked meals cooked personally by owner and head chef Josh. He creates balanced and interesting chalet menus every season from his varied experience cooking in restaurants, his own private catering company and his lifelong interest in French food and wine. When I say luxury chalets, I really mean luxury… it would be a holiday of a lifetime. Josh and Jess, the owners of Morgan Jupe are such lovely people and they would ensure that you were given 5 star treatment.

So at the end of such a fabby night, after meeting so many people, with such interesting lives, I tried to act as sober as possible trying to remember I’m a ‘professional’ – I rolled home to a hot chocolate, PJs and back to grad life.
Look out for our next blog with some tasty bonfire night treats!
Happy reading!
