Llanelli’s famous Hywel Girls’ Choir & Hywel Boy Singers will appear with a host of Welsh stars for the filming of the a new series of S4C’s flagship programme Noson Lawen.
The young Hywel choristers, under the direction of their founder, John Hywel Williams, will enjoy a return appearance on the popular S4C show to be filmed from Llanelli on Sunday 25th October.
For the current Hywel choristers who are aged 8 – 16 years, this will be their 25th television and radio broadcast in the last 12 months alone while the choir itself has enjoyed over 170 television broadcasts over the years.
“I’m having a brilliant year with the choir”, said 11 year old chorister Mollie Williams of Swiss Valley. “Over the last few months, I’ve sung at the Royal Albert Hall and had a standing ovation when performing for Royalty. I’ve appeared on television on Christmas Day and sung with exciting orchestras and celebrities. I’m really looking forward to more television appearances also singing again with the lovely Lesley Garrett in the new year.”
Audience tickets for the television filming of Noson Lawen on Sunday 25th October are available at £5 which will allow the public to be part of the televised audience, experience the filming of the television show and enjoy an exciting line up of Welsh talent.
